Prof. Beverly Philip
Beverly Khnie Philip, MD, is Professor of Anaesthesia at Harvard University and Founding Director, Day Surgery Unit at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston. Dr. Philip was 2021 President of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Her service in ASA has included Vice President for Scientific Affairs, as well as Chair of the 2009 Annual Meeting. Dr. Philip’s subspecialty focus is ambulatory anesthesia. She is a Past President of the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia. She has served with the Joint Commission and AAAHC ambulatory surgery accreditation programs, and was a founding participant of the CMS Ambulatory Payment Advisory Panel. Dr. Philip is the Past President of the International Association for Ambulatory Surgery, and past Editor-in-Chief of the international journal “Ambulatory Surgery”.
