Dr. Flood is a Professor of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University who is fellowship trained in Pain Medicine and Obstetric Anesthesiology. Her research and clinical work address acute, transition to, and chronic pain .Current research work includes projects assessing the role of multimodal treatment reduction of persistent opioid use. Other current work has led from the observation that some dural puncture headaches become chronic to address the question of best practice for treatment. Clinically, she specializes in the treatment of multiple aspects of women's health including obstetric anesthesia, acute inpatient pain management, and chronic pain management
